Michael is one of the three partners on VenGrowth’s Operating Committee, which oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. He is one of the original four founders of the company’s retail funds.

With more than 11 years of experience as a venture capitalist and eight years as an investment banker, Michael assists investees with funding requirements and coaches them through their growth phases. He has been instrumental in numerous company exits and successful turnarounds. Michael routinely contributes his expertise in setting strategic direction, developing operating budgets, recruiting management, and developing financing and exit strategies.

Before joining VenGrowth, Michael co-founded a corporate finance firm, and was a member of the Corporate Finance Department at Nesbitt Thomson Deacon Inc. He is currently a Board Member of the Canadian Venture Capital Association.

Michael holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Chicago.
